Sunflower cake
Sunflower cake is a by-product of pressing sunflower seeds while manufacturing sunflower oil. The cake is used in feed milling that for feeding of pigs, cows, horses, birds, rabbits and sheep. The caloric value is determined by protein and fat content. The weight content of protein can reach 39%, fat – up to 13%. Crude fiber content can be up to 20%; the cake also has high content of phospholipids and vitamin E. The product moisture is up to 10%. The cake value, as a mixed feed ingredient, lies in its positive impact on the metabolism of animals, fast weight gain and accelerated growth
